Back in 2005 my Aunty Linda sent me a book of poems she found in an Attic written by my Great Gramma Pearl Childers. I started looking through them and realized how amazing they were. I was in the passenger seat of a Uhaul with Nick Vote somewhere in Oregon with a guitar in my hand when I put the first poem to music. Whoah Blizzard, sounds like a hit song without even putting guitar chords to it. One by one Nick and I started putting them to music. Since then, Dan Frick, David Thomas, David Sullivan, Andy Salge, Blue Moon Revue, The Water Company all have covered versions of her poems. Dan and I plan on redoing the whole album. There are rumors Josh and Jenny Higgins might be there to help out!
